Good idea, drill holes, cut rebar, make a type of lattice with rebar in to the drill holes. Fill holes with concrete and finish.

Exaxtly. Use 3/8” rod. Depending on area size, you may not need to put it horizontal. Just vertical stubs and if you choose, you can use some welded wire mesh or chicken wire. It will hold...

2 days of drying should be fine. You do not need to wait 30 days.
