No, the problem is that this event was well publicized and, I believe, legally challenged, but it was allowed to proceed. I'd have to go back and research, but probably adjudicated by some Dane County judicial tool.

It was legally challenged but the judge punted because there was no adversarial party. It was voters who participated that sued to get a judge to rule the events were legal. The GOP attempted a cease-and-desist but didn’t go to court as far as I could tell. They just sabre-rattled.
