In the old days folks lived into the hundreds because their dna was more pure, not as many mutations to cause diseases.
If you are going back to the time of Noah and Methusaleh, it is a stretch to say that it was DNA purity. We just don't know.
If you go more recent (1600s-1700s), I will tell you that in my hometown cemetery in Wallingford, CT, there are certainly folks over 100, but there are also MANY MORE who died at a very young age. These days, people with weaker immune systems who would have died young are kept alive to live a full life. That is not necessarily a bad thing.

I don’t think it’s a stretch. Adam was created to live forever, you can’t have that with the multitude of mutations we carry today.
And I think dna, mrna investigations tracing human roots have found evidence of increasing mutations over time if I recall correctly?
