"The achievement represents the first successful attempt to reverse glaucoma-induced vision loss, rather than merely stem its progression, the team said."

Perhaps they should have added the words "using this method". I've found some surprising articles on the benefits for vision of supplements like fisetin and quercetin. E.g.

Fisetin rescues retinal functions by suppressing inflammatory response in a DBA/2J mouse model of glaucoma

—The phosphorylated p65 level in the nucleus was dramatically reduced in fisetin-treated mice compared to it in untreated mice. Our results demonstrate that fisetin mtay exert its function through regulating cytokine productions—

Interesting, because covid victims succumb to cytokine issues, or rather cytokine issues cause health problems in people with covid... Not really wording that correctly, but cytokine play a part in covid at any rate.

I wonder if roasting might also be of some help not just in covid but other things like flu, illnesses where cytokine reactions worsen issues etc.

At any rate, let’s hope they can help folks with worsening eyesight. No fun growing old if one loses ones vision
