I’ve been saying this for months.....I have ZERO sympathy for small business owners..... They voluntarily allow themselves to be dominated and decimated, because instead of banding together to resist tyranny, they harangue their customers and say “you better follow my COVID rules or I’ll throw you out of my store”..... I cannot think of a more apt example of “divided we fall”

Just think of how little tax revenue the tyrants will garner this year!
I was in NYC yesterday. I was shocked how many small restaurants had outdoor dinning and heaters. How many had built walls with plexiglass in the street - taking up precious parking spaces. Where do they get the money to build these enclosures? Do they need to get a permit?
It’s almost as if every single storefront is a restaurant. Why couldn’t they band together and protest? Won’t 20 restaurants on each street make a difference if they banded together?
I just don’t understand this situation.
I just want the freedom to be able to find a parking space.

Fines would mean nothing if every business owner defied the authorities..... The same way that 2 cops can’t overwhelm a crowd of 100 people who are willing to fight those cops, Government officials can’t shut down every single business in lieu of fines that all of them agree to ignore
