If so, mcconnell is in for a surprise. The repubs will lose the senate on Jan 6th, and deservedly so.
Just like their multi layered methods of cheating in elections, the democrats also employ varied methods to get republicans to betray their party and country. Through money deals, power deals, blackmail or threats, they can eliminate threats to their goal.
He not only stabbed Trump in the back, he damaged the Republican party.
The best way the scenario would have played out for him is that a contingent set of electors were simply not selected based on a few sacrificial Republicans, Mitt et al.
Now Everyone knows the Republican establishment in the Senate is about to throw Trump under the Bus and the Trump base.

For that to happen they, Republicans, may have to cheat really hard if no Republicans, or hardly any, come out to vote. But wouldn’t surprise me if he would trust the Democrats to abide to the terms of any agreement.

No way do the DEMs cough up either GA Senate seat. They want nothing more than to make Harris the most powerful VP in modern history as the deciding vote in the Senate. She would be on TV every day, much more so than just being VP with a GOP-majority Senate.

It is more likely that his Chinese wife promised to stay with him, add to his net worth and maybe even the Chinese promised not to zap him.

When Dems take the Senate by cheating again in Georgia - it won’t matter for squat... McConnel will then be MINORITY leader...

McConnell knows one of the Senate “mavericks” will put a spanner in the works and doesn’t want donors to blame him for it. A bunch of GOP Senators will be making plays for the MAGA vote in a potential post Trump swamp. Rand, Cruz, Hawley, etc. Those are the ones to watch.
