Exactly. It can be a challenge finding good disposables without slime strip, so I buy in bulk and probably have enough to last me ten years. I tend to throw out the disposables after a couple of months, though tbh they hold up quite well.

In my old age I just don’t have time to make some big male ceremony out of shaving. Do the people who buy straight razors really use them? Seems hard to believe.

Hone every 2-3 months and strop for 3 or 4 seconds while the soap of the on sale softens up the whiskers. Rinse, dry, and return to the case. Retired so only hoe the whiskers three times a week rather than daily.
