OK...fair enough.But you come from a country where they spell color and flavor wrong and where they can't even pronounce aluminum correctly. ;-)

But on a serious note when were you taught that way? I was taught 60 years ago.And as I said earlier the "rules" might have changed since then.But if they have I'm invoking the "old dog" rule.

Pretty close to the same era, mid 1960’s. BTW, only the Brits and Aussie/Kiwi group mispronounce aluminum. As for the colour/color thing, both spellings were accepted even then.
