Regarding postmodernism, I would point to the following quote from Jonathan Swift: "You cannot reason someone out of something he was not reasoned into."

People weren't reasoned into postmodernism, they were indoctrinated--brainwashed--into it. By the media and academia

People will have to be de-programmed, not persuaded.

As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began
That the dog returns to his vomit, and the sow returns to her mire
And the burnt Fool’s bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the fire

And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with Terror and Slaughter return.

So glad to know that I am not alone. Been working hard for ten years (by my lonesome) to build a safe place in the countryside, that will alloy family and friends to live off the grid in a civilized manner while the country tears itself apart

Agreed re postmodernism.

It’s basically a rejection of objective truth.

"And all the life boats are full."

Lifeboats to where?!?

The U.S. was the last place for lifeboats to go. When the U.S. sinks under some kakistocracy ruled by Demonicrat Morlocks, there'll be no place else to go.

Maybe someday there will be spaceships capable of taking emigrants (or their 50th-generation offspring) to some continent on an Earth-like planet in another solar system.

You left out the most important point...

- and so called normal people who are well aware of these insanities simply sit on their asses and keep taking it.

Rudyard Kipling apparently described himself as “a God-fearing Christian atheist.”

From his self-assessment—though his poetry sounds fluent—we can see the man was somewhat confused.

i may never vote again- what’s the point?
even if PDJT pulls this off- he’s only going to put it off for 4 years.
Then Kameltoe can run as President and she will win.

I wonder how many have 'bailed' on the GOP at their local county clerk's office to date?

I would take it to mean he believed in Christendom, but not Christ.

BTTT.

What we are living in is not unprecedented. If anything, we’ve been blessed with exceptional peace the last 150 years, certainly the last 50.

Satan has his way with most of mankind. With all of us to some extent.

My family is all dead, so I don’t have that circle anymore. I have a niece with a family that I enjoy spending time with, but again, we live away from each other, so our visits are few. My two sons live away from me, so we correspond, and visit each other when we can. I have no grandchildren, and that’s fine with me. We don’t talk politics when we do see each other. I can count the number of close friends I have on one hand...and that’s the way I like it. We don’t see each other that often either, but we keep in touch. I live a life of solitude, and privacy, and have been doing that since I retired in 2003. My life is the way I want it. If I wanted arguments over politics, I’d turn on cable news, but I’d be arguing with myself. I stopped watching all news programming many years ago. Life is too short to spend it listening to the crap spouted by biased morons. I’m not a glutton for punishment. My oldest son was sick for Christmas, so we postponed our dinner until this coming weekend. He’ll come, we’ll eat, open our presents, and then watch something on the Roku. The next day he’ll head back home, and the cycle will start again. Some people might think that’s boring, but I am happy being alone, and doing the things I want to do, not what anyone else thinks I should be doing.

How do you lose your country? Slowly, then all at once.

Very insightful and pertinent to the current insanity that has swept the nation.

My vote doesn’t count. There are people more powerful than the president. They actually run the country. I can’t believe most of what I see in the media.

What’s the next step? The gulags?

Being in my later years, I want things to go smoothly. I hate when things don’t. But I can only adjust my attitude and learn to get past the roadblocks and learn to avoid them in the future. I will never roll over when things don’t go as planned. An example: My transmission went out in August. I could not afford to get it repaired. I was worried until I found a book on the transmission and some youtube videos on rebuilding so I decided to do it myself. There was nothing to lose, because it was never going to be driven without being repaired, so why not by me? It took a few weeks and I waited for parts, but I got it done, and I was thrilled when it worked! More importantly, I gained a great deal of knowledge and I know more about how transmissions work. I have put so much fear behind me. I am thankful I had the courage to try something I would never have done in my younger years.
We are challenged every day, and we must have courage and commitment to a better future. The more you know, the less you fear, and that is what makes our country so great! We can and we will go forward.
