Josh Hawley doesn’t give a shit about what McConnell thinks. I think there are a number of other Senators waiting to declare their objections. Any Senator that doesn’t join him will never have a chance of being elected President.
Trump will endorse him and then it will be game over.

How can he press Hawley if he wasn’t on the call?
Can one republican come forward and explain why the election returns in the five states in question just stopped counting ON election night? Why did they shut down the counting while Trump was way ahead? That’s never happened before and we want an answer.

by pressing Hawley, McConnell is signaling that he is ignorant of what is going on around him. And so should welcome an opportunity hear for himself, firsthand testimony that will occur as a result of any objections.
That he doesn’t want that entered into public record is concerning.
