With Star Trek (the original) at least two things became real...”communicators” (cell phones) and SD cards.
I used to show this in my humanities classes around 1999. The only prediction that didn’t come true, IIRC, was the proliferation of personal jet planes. In all the other predictions, how the technology worked was a bit off, but what the technology was supposed to do was things (online billing, home education, etc) that were happening in 1999.
Interesting to see how predictions 32 years into the future looked in 1967.
I wonder what predictions people would make for the year 2053, from our vantage point here in 2021.

One funny bit was the kid getting bored with the training video and speeding it up. I was just annoyed that this video wasn't hosted on Youtube so it didn't have a speed contol to pick up the pace.

Just this morning I watched an episode of The 21st Century with Walter Cronkite that was about the home of the future. I was struck by how concerned people were with privacy back then. They would be very disappointed by how things have worked out.
Guess Prince got it wrong, too.
