It’s a bizarro world out there, I was channel surfing and briefly landed at PBS for some Washington talk show, somebody was saying that a lot of damage was being done to democracy by questioning the certified vote results in various states and not conceding the election.

I would say the exact opposite, and so would most of us I am guessing, that a lot of damage has been done by certifying the illegal results and not challenging them.

Fascinating to see how one set of facts can produce two entirely different world views. I don’t think the people holding the opposite world view are stupid, they just don’t want populist government and will take any chance they can find to remove it from power. Just as we don’t want globalist government and yada yada.

Not sure how much longer this impasse can remain entirely peaceful, obviously it never was entirely peaceful but on a broadly historical scale it has been relatively non-violent. There’s no place to go to receive confirmation that one side is right and one side is wrong in these situations, you just have to decide what you’re willing to risk to get to the result you want.

Progressives figure they don’t have to risk anything, they can just wave a magic wand and make things so, like the reality of a climate emergency or the pressing need for social justice (instead of people learning to follow long-established social norms).

The resistance to all that has been strong but it lacks some definition. We still don’t really have a name for what we are all about, nor do we have any organized structure, we’re leaving it all for one guy to do against all the odds — and he’s done a great job, absolutely, but I think we need to go that one step further and organize a more conventional political movement against globalism.

For the GOP, it’s time to fish or cut bait, or whatever you might want to say, lukewarm opposition to globalism turns into globalism lite, or slower “progress” — is it progress to follow the pied Piper to wherever he was going? Is it preferable to stop for snacks along the way, in GOP fashion, rather than the headlong rush of the frantic left?

I hope 2021 brings us some better news on a lot of fronts, especially this one.

The “threat to democracy” claim by the liberals is hypocritical - remember the demand for “unfaithful electors” when Trump was elected? All the scams they pulled?

And did one person on the PBS program point that out?

The media mass collusion is so obvious.

There is a positive to this predicament. US citizens who seek real, true information would be more apt to actually read our Constitution; possibly learning civics and a bit of our history.

Congress and Senate are part of the problem.
