Good one. The other side would ignore the anti-lobbying provision and not be prosecuted by Corrupt Joe’s DOJ, while only Trump’s people would abide by it, or get prosecuted if they did not.
The other thing it does is force Biden’s hand. The commu...er, more progressive part of the Biden Base wants the ethics standards raised to the level of cutting off some of the money flow from corporate interests and lobbyists.
By exempting his people from the Ethics order, he gives he and his team a legal shield while forcing Biden to tell his starry eyed leftists radicals he won’t accept their terms.
It’s a nice FU on the way out, at least.
