Guns are white supremacy’s deadliest weapon. We must disarm hate.

The defining photograph of the attempted insurrection on Jan. 6 was that of a man strolling through the broken halls of our national Capitol, amid the smashed windows and assorted rubble of the failed coup, proudly brandishing a Confederate flag on his shoulder and hoping to overturn an election decided largely by Black voters. It’s an image that tells the story not only of Jan. 6 or of the Trump presidency, but also of all the steps that led to that moment — the whole history of hate in America captured in one frame.

This deadly connection between white supremacy and guns runs throughout our history. In 1866, armed Confederate [Democrat Party] loyalists stormed the Louisiana Constitutional Convention, murdering 34 Black Americans in an attempt to block suffrage for freed slaves. In 1898, an armed White mob [of Democrats] in Wilmington, N.C., proclaimed a “White Declaration of Independence,” then killed at least 60 residents before replacing the multiracial local government with white supremacists. In 1921, mobs of [the Democratic Party’s] armed White residents of Tulsa attacked the Black neighborhood of Greenwood, murdering as many as 300 Tulsans for the crime of being Black and successful. In 1955, ­Emmett Till was tortured and shot in the head by White vigilantes, [Democrats].

There. Fixed it. Funny how the author managed to omit such key details.

Probably, but...the left is infamous for moving the goal posts. What do we do when the Stars and Stripes becomes the next “symbol of white supremacy”? It can happen-consider the fact that schools are changing their names from that of historically respected presidents, that literature by “dead white males” is being cancelled from the culture and academia, statues of respected military heroes are being demolished, etc. Where does it end, where do we say “Get stuffed, if honoring (fill in the blank) makes me a racist then so be it”?

Islamic terrorists killed more in a day.

Planned Parenthood has killed more than the Nazis did in the Holocaust and the Communists did in the Soviet purge combined.

Planned Parenthood has said that they are quite willing to target donations to black neighborhoods from people they “know” to be racists. They got caught on tape.

Racism? Supremacy? It may be out there but the guns aren’t the problem.

Gun ownership is specifically spelled out in the 2nd Amendment. Why would the democrats think they can “infringe” our right to bear arms without a Constitutional amendment?

And, as the cliche has it correctly, if American gun owners meekly surrender their guns, they will deserve the slavery they will certainly inherit.

It never will be, until they find an angle to blame it on whites (one less nebulous than the present “arguments”). Just like we can’t talk about the achievement gap (with all the measures taken to close it over the decades) without blaming it on the presence/absence/presence of white children (and never even whisper that many of these measures came at the expense of achievement by other races, such as Asians, even if the perpetrators didn’t care what they did to white children).
