Because we are not sure bow longg natural immunity lasts. These are health care workers risking bringing covid to their families every day. Would you really begrudge them. the vaccine?
The risk of death is not .0096 for everyone. some groups have a much higher risk and I have seen healthy young people die horribly with this. In addition to the risk of death there is the risk of being ill for an extended period of time and the risk of giving it to someone you love who is at higher risk. Death rates are not the only reason we vaccinate. Don’t want the vaccine? Don’t get it. But don’t spread false hysteria to try to keep others from getting it.

False hysteria has been spread about covid from day one that we knew about it. The virus doesn’t cause the dramatic hysterical panic and over reaction. The hype and deliberate fear porn has caused that which led to a very hasty “vaccine” that we have very little knowledge about.

People should listen to all opinions before deciding to get the vaccine. I do not think anyone should be shamed or mocked for not trusting or wanting it. To tell someone with a different opinion than yours that they are spreading false info is kind of like Twitter shutting people down because an opinion that differs from yours cannot be heard because only you are right.

Truth is we do not know long term effects of this “vaccine” because it hasn’t been around long enough . Anyone who is not suspicious about how covid emerged and why there are those wanting to force a vaccine on people is not alert.

I know that you stated that people that want it should get it. I tend to agree with that. I do believe they should study all opinions first.

Just now the truth is coming out about HCQ. It was lied about for political reasons and the people who were denied it might have lived if it wasn’t for the politics of hating and opposing Trump.

“Because we are not sure bow longg natural immunity lasts.”

Do we know how long vaccine immunity lasts? Do we know if it is longer than natural?

I am less concerned with if the vaccine is safe than if it is of practical benefit. A coronavirus mutates quickly so complete immunity is a fleeting thing in any case. Taking a vaccine every few months for something that is a mild to bad cold for most people seems overkill when that vaccine won’t stop the receivers from being potential carriers.

The logic of our actions at every step with this bug has not made sense to me. Too much seems to be along the lines of “this scary thing is really scary so let’s do these things that will make people feel better about the scary thing”. The illogical actions, and contradictory statements coming from medical professionals and leadership has contributed to the lack of trust in all of this. So far Fauci and company essentially is resting on arguments from authority and that isn’t good enough.

I would love to have a medical professional explain why we are doing what we are doing. For those in my personal sphere the answers seem to range from “I am scared that scary thing is a direct threat to me from my work” to a shrug and comments that things don’t make sense to them either.

The people warning us are not skid row junkies, conspiracy theorists, or soccer moms. They are accomplished Doctors risking their future careers to warn us. Wouldn’t it be foolish to dismiss them?

If I was a frontline health worker I would demand hydroxychloroquine tablet from the hospital pharmacy to take every day. Then I would add zinc plus vitamins D and C.

‘But don’t spread false hysteria to try to keep others from getting it.’

you would think people would be intelligent enough to refrain from doing that but, as we’ve seen throughout this ‘pandemic’, intelligence is not widely dispersed...agenda trumps social responsibility, every time...

Because we are not sure bow longg natural immunity lasts.

How long does the vaccine work?

If the disease itself does not confer lifelong immunity, then how would a vaccine?

Or do we need constant, lifelong booster shots?
