Actually they can’t really. They try to make up some numbers sometimes but you can’t date rocks. They could be thousands, million, billions of year old. Maybe trillions. No one knows.

It's exactly like the Mojave, except that:

• There's no vegetation anywhere
• There are no insects or other animals
• It's 65 degrees below zero
• The gravity is 38% of earth's
• The atmospheric pressure is 1% that of earth, and most of the atmosphere is carbon dioxide.

Other than that, yeah, it's a lot like the Mojave.
