I hope that big ‘political career’ she wants is in the UK. Otherwise someone should explain to her that according to the Constitution of the United States, she would have to become a U.S. citizen again, and give up her royal title.

One can Not be elected to public office and hold Titles from another country.

She will need to disavow the Duchess title (her only remaining one) in order to be elected to any office.
