I am sure Stevie would have had a much better life had he grown up in Ghana.
I have been to Ghana and they will say all the things he wants to hear, as long as the money keeps coming. But in private, they think that American blacks are the worst of the worst and give them short shrift.
One fairly rich African-American moved to Sierra Leone about seven years ago and he has been dragged over the coals as they do everything they possibly can to separate the fool from his money.

In my opinion, Stevie still thinks like a songwriter, tending to romanticize how life really is on foreign soil, under a different kind of government.

I was at the 1984 Reagan/Bush Rep Conv. in Dallas as a volunteer. They put me in charge of the holding trailer (green room) and I greeted the stars and led them in.
