They've gone through Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 clinical trials. Between the US and the UK, they've had over 100,000 people testing these vaccines. They've been testing them for nearly a year now.

Flu being the singular exception. Flu deaths average 36,000 per year. In 2020, total deaths were up by 500,000 over 2019. That’s a 17% jump. Normal year-over-year increases are 0.3% - 0.5%.
Meanwhile, deaths from heart attacks, cancer, etc. were all at or above normal levels. So no, deaths were not simply all lumped into COVID-19; there were just a whole bunch of more deaths than usual. A lot more than there needed to be. But you’ll have to talk to governors like Cuomo and Newsom for more info on that one.

You’ll have to talk to the governors about that. I stick to simple facts and have been against the lockdowns and shutdowns since the beginning. There’s a difference between acknowledging that there’s a real disease that requires effective leadership to provide a helpful response and the ineffective, damaging direction a lot of governors decided to go in.
President Trump acknowledged the virus was real and launched Operation Warp Speed to deal with it. Along the way, he provided funding, PPE, ventilators, and everything else the governors asked for. Then the governors shut down the economy and some of them forced nursing homes to accept known-infected COVID-19 patients, which killed tens of thousands of defenseless older people. And they should be in prison for that.
If there is no pandemic, there is no need for masks, distancing, shutdowns or vaccines.

On the other hand, the response from state and local governments - particularly shutting down businesses and schools with no plan for how they can continue to operate safely - was a complete failure of both policy and planning. You can acknowledge that the problem is real without buying into a "solution" that does nothing to solve the problem while doing lots of damage to families and businesses. That's what President Trump did.

I stand by President Trump now as I have since he began his campaign and made it clear he was standing up for all of us who've never had a voice in the one-party-with-two-faces system that's been rigged against us. But regardless of however much fraud took place, President Trump didn't win the electoral college vote. That's the only vote that matters in the US Constitution. Do I wish he had? Yes. But President Trump acknowledged that reality when he left the White House. Now, as a private citizen, he's no longer encumbered by the rules he had to operate under as President of the United States, and I stand ready to help him make the nation great.
