One could argue that there was a lot of things that were good about ancient Egypt and Rome too.
We have to ask our selves this: What happens to people who boldy proclaim freedom and equality (instead of empowerment, favortism, and equity)? The former get fired, cancelled, sued, and ruined. The latter get a pass, the charges dropped, promotions, and great press.
The glass is half full — and there’s a crack in it that appears to be leaking water.
At what point isn't the glass half full? How about life in Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union?
Yes, one can find happiness and be thankful for the blessing in one's own personal life. That doesn't mean one has to be blind to the direction the country is going.
