Yer very astute and observant. (and probably a cake guy...)
Pear pie is a real thing, it aint my cup of tea.
Grape Pie in PA? I think not. In all my years, I never saw one. Never heard of one. Never had one. And I like pies, all kinds of pies. I can’t wait for June when I can have fresh strawberry pie or strawberry-rhubarb pie. As the season continues, there is blueberry pie, then blackberry and raspberry pies, and peach pies. Come autumn, we have apple, pumpkin, and squash pies. Of course it is fine to have many of the other fine pies year round, however I just especially like pies that are seasonal and that I can go out and get local fruits and berries. But grape pies? I think not.
I’ve lived in New Jersey my whole life and never tasted or even heard of Cranberry Pie. And the spelled New Jersey wrong too.
Why no Quince pie? I like Quince jelly.
Well it is the internet so...
I bet JRandomFreeper would have been all over this.
My sainted mother
Strawberry-rhubarb pie

What a woman
I live in Michigan for 46 years and Maryland for the last 12.
I’ve never once eaten nor heard of the favorite for both states Cranberry pie.
I like cranberries but it sounds kind of gross in a pie.
My favorite is lemon meringue. For my wife it’s peanut butter pie.
Is there a Pawpaw pie?
Is there a Pawpaw pie?
Like there aren’t any apples or cherries in Oregon? Pumpkin, peach, pecan, strawberry-rhubarb....and then there are the wild blackberries and huckleberries. I’d try grape pie. Or pear pie. But that’s hardly a ringing endorsement. I’d probably try ‘possum pie.
I miss JR
#1. I have often wished to find a simple Lemon Pie for sale, but I rarely do. Sometimes I don’t want all that Cool Whip on top. I’ll just have to make my own.
#2...What kind of pies were the Three Stooges using during their
pie wars? Lemon Meringue? I never noticed much of any crust.
Now that is a pie. I don't have cherry trees, or know anyone with cherry trees. I haven't seen sour cherries in the grocery store in years. I guess everyone likes to eat sweet cherries or use that canned stuff to make cherry pies.
Was Better Homes and Gardens acquired by the Chinese?
Aye.
Is there stinky tofu pie?
I’ve lived in Wisconsin for over 60 years, and I have never ever heard of “pineapple pie”.
