Isn’t it up to individual companies what sites they ban?
That texting machine in my pocket might work.
That’s not a semi-opus. An opus here is when you invite getting Zotted by posting a [probably drunken] rant about how badly you have been abused by posters on free republic and telling everyone you are through with us and seeking a nirvana where your views are accepted as doctrine unchallenged.
The question they should have asked you is what are you doing on these sites on company time?
If they block access to FR via company computers you could still access FR via your smart phone.
The previous posters didn't address your question
Me...I have some brass and lead to trade.
Write a stern letter to your direct supervisor, his manager, the owner or CEO and all members of the board stating that you believe your rights are being violated by not being able to access conservative websites.
My replacement for Drudge is/was Whatfinger. Used to be pretty cluttered but they’ve cleaned it up some so not bad anymore.
You probably won’t like it as well as what you got used to but maybe check and see if it’s not blocked. As an alternative.
When it comes, the blackout will be complete, and probably quite sudden.
In case I don’t get a chance to say good-bye to everyone, please remember this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y_R7CBmDAE
In many cases companies don’t know what sites they block. They subscribe to a list from a third party and block those sites.
I worked for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies for 16 years. Shortly after the company changed a network contract I had to work with the network group to have several of our own web sites that I maintained unblocked.
The sites were for drugs to treat Aids and Herpes. I guess someone decided those were topics that should be on a global block list and when we subscribed we inadvertently blocked our own websites.
You must have a job with not much to do. Either that or you are screwing your employer out of their time and money.
Oh and a PS - why do you waste FR bandwidth with this drivel?
I use my personal phone at work, and don’t log into company WiFi.
I think I have around 5,000 posts here that would get me fired.
Just in case you can’t get to a conservative site-

Company block lists tend to be really random, and generally pointless. For a long time my company blocked ESPN, but none of the other sports websites, they finally stopped blocking ESPN. Meanwhile I never join my phone to the network.
Yours is a question, not an opus, semi or otherwise. ;) If you ever decide to write an opus, Libbylu’s should be easy to find. Hers is classic.
