A New Jersey gym owner is riffing on Krispy Kreme’s popular offer of free donuts for vaccinated customers — by handing out free memberships to people who don’t get vaccinated.

Ian Smith, co-owner of The Atilis Gym, located in Bellmawr, NJ, tweeted out the provocative offer earlier this week, kicking up a storm of controversy in the process.

"In light of @krispykreme giving free donuts for receiving the CVD shot, here at @TheAtilisGym we are giving out free memberships to all who don’t get vaccinated. We believe in health – the real way – exercise, good diet, plenty of Vitamin D, Zinc, and an environment to destress," Smith tweeted.

That is on my mind too. I’m already trying to find out if the 24 Hour Fitness gym is re-opened in the small town of Larkspur, Ca. It’s right next to the Ferry Boats. I just want to go once or twice a week.

I think it’s stupid for a business to get involved one way or the other. It’s like choosing sides in an election. either way you alienate a large pool of potential customers. Not what you should be in business for, but if it works for them it’s their business

The 24 Hour Fitness by me that I was considering was brand new and shut down during the shutdown. It wasn't even open for a year. I was just there yesterday and was surprised to see it still closed. I was expecting it to open back up, but it never did.

Now I see this article that they are shuttering gyms and moving trucks were seen removing equipment a year ago. Next time I'm going to take a peak inside to see if there is any equipment left. If the equipment is gone I know it is probably never opening back up again.

Well, at least now you know about this location. It was a very large location, apparently. The kind with two dozen walking machines facing TV’s. In my old gym, it always seemed that one side wanted to watch Sports and the other side wanted to watch Cooking shows. Back then, I watched Fox a lot. I had the TV to myself during the late hours.

I’m definitely no big Gym goer, (though I should be) but I kinda miss the fun being in a fully activated gym. Don’t you?

First of all not experimental gene therapy. Unlike 1984, here a lie repeated is not the truth.

Second see HCW study from CA and Israel demonstrating fully vaccinated people are less than one percent likely to get disease. Seems pretty food to me as a front liner to have had the vaccine. As my colleague on a different thread said now not only am I safe, but I’m not bringing it home to my family

Keep telling people to not get the vaccine. Blood will be on your hands.

So that would mean free membership for everybody because how do you prove you were NOT vaccinated. Of course under Biden that may change soon. I’m expecting a national list that is posted daily in every locality that shows those who have been vaccinated and those who haven’t.
