Dont be silly, they are unarmed.
Commanders get relieved over this type of thing.
Knew of a guy that dropped his in a Port-a-Potty.
Guess what he got to do ...
A single missing M4 is “a serious security risk”? OK dude.
they haven’t renamed AP Hill yet?
Some dude is likely blasting his way thru many thousands of rounds of hard to get ammo?
Just hope its not BLM, MS -13 or ANTIFA.
Shouldn’t be too hard to spot.
Bad news for some people.
If this happened somewhere else, then why were these Soldiers released from that area.
I saw a unit locked down for missing three .45 rounds.
They are worried about a single rifle when every gang banger has handguns?
Was Eric Holder in the vicinity? If so, I think I know where the M4 went.
My company was locked down for over a week because an a-hole tried to steal an AN/PVS-4 night sight.
Two possibilities-The Guard Soldier set the M4 down to get on his/her phone and tiktok followers, forgot about the rifle and walked away, then someone picked it up. OR a DC hood rat stole the M4.
When I was in Basic Training at Ft Leonard Wood an M16 went missing from another company. They closed the base down and tore it apart. They found it hidden in the ceiling of a mess hall. I don’t know if they ever determined who hid it there or what happened to the trainee whose weapon it was.
I had Army basic training at Ft. Jackson, SC in 1969. One day we were at a training site that was way out in the woods. We had to go inside a building for the training. We were instructed to leave our packs and M-16’s outside. After the training was over we came out to put our gear on and head back to our company site. However one of the weapons was missing. We looked all around the area but didn’t find it. Our drill sergeants were pissed. They knew that one of the instructors had taken it. So each squad had to leave two “volunteers” behind to watch the area overnight. And it was a cold night.
Early the next day we were back out there. We were able to search the area more thoroughly and eventually we found it. And the volunteers got the rest of the day off!
Don’t know if they figured out who took it.
