So the NFL is just throwing fresh salt in an old wound by correcting a controversial penalty that cost the Bills a chance to beat the Texans in an AFC Wild Card game on Jan. 4, 2020. Turns out, it was a blown call.
In an officiating training video published to Twitter on Friday, NFL Senior VP of Officiating Training and Development Walt Anderson said Bills right tackle Cody Ford’s illegal block should not have been a penalty.
The Bills faced a third-and-9 in overtime when Ford was flagged for an illegal blindside block as quarterback Josh Allen scrambled for 4 yards. A no-call could’ve meant a game-winning 56-yard field-goal attempt, but the penalty was accepted and followed by an incomplete pass and punt. The Texans won the game on the next possession.

The same ol’ which rules shall we enforce argument. By rule, it is a penalty. But, as with past games, the enforcement/non-enforcement seems to always benefit the team that will have a larger audience in the next game. Ask the Saints...

If the Georgia Secretary of State is in charge of voting he has the responsibility of enforcing the state’s regulations as to who votes. And eliminate those from voter lists who don’t qualify.
Assign prosecutors to personally canvass and investigate. Check if military actually voted by asking them. Identify all voters by checking on legal age their residency and citizenship. If found they do not qualify charge Illegals including state visitors known as snowbirds also include any technical computer fraudulent Italian programming testimony when presenting to the court and get these election results tossed.

In professional rugby, they have a TMO—television match official, who not only is called upon to judge whether a try (touchdown) was scored, or whether or not foul play has occurred or if a player did or did not do something. The TMO can alert the on-field ref if he sees something, he doesn’t have to wait to be called. He can tell the ref, “you need to look at this”.
Rugby has one ref on the field, and one on each sideline for a total of three, while football has more than a half dozen. This is not to say that there are no mistakes in officiating in rugby, but I think the call in question would have been caught at the time.
