I feel bad for them. Reminds me of the tribe that had airplanes landing and taking off near or on their island during WWII. After the war they built shrines and plane imitations trying to get the flying gods to come back.

Having been to Vanuatu about 5 years ago I can tell you they are truly wonderful people. Didn’t get to visit Tanna Island, but I hope to on a future visit.
