Suspected poacher killed by elephants in South African national park

Officials at a South African national park said yesterday that a man who was suspected of being a poacher was killed by a herd elephants on Saturday.
The men were running from rangers when they ran into a “breeding herd of elephants.” The men were reportedly attempting to poach rhinoceros.
Only through discipline, teamwork and tenacity will we be able to help stem the tide of rhino poaching in KNP.”

The Chinese are usually very smart, but no, they insist on killing an old beast for his horn. Don't they get the many TV adverts for ED drugs? Gotta be way cheaper?

A few years ago we were in Kenya visiting several of their outstanding national parks.Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and when the topic got around to poachers he told us that the official policy of the soldiers that guard the parks is “shoot to kill”.
I guess it takes too much effort to take prisoners. But seriously it's understandable for several reasons...one of which is that tourism is such a huge part of the nation's economy.Not to mention that those creatures are so incredibly majestic.
