NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A high-ranking Norfolk Police officer who was found donating to the defense fund of Kyle Rittenhouse has been fired from the police department.
Kyle Rittenhouse is the man charged with the murder of two Black Lives Matter protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last August.
According to the Guardian newspaper on Friday, Sgt. William Kelly, who served as the executive officer of NPD’s internal affairs division, made an anonymous $25 donation to Rittenhouse’s defense in September. However Kelly used an official email address linked to himself, the Guardian reported.

Fired for personal use of official email? That can likely be defended, otherwise, suspect he’ll sue. Maybe will anyway.
I’d take that wrongful dismissal case.
If you listen to fools, the mob rules!
RIP Ronnie James Dio!
Make an anonymous donation using your WORK email address? That wasn’t the brightest thing to do!
Leaked info from crowdfunding site because evidently, even though it's a Christian crowdfunding site, there's a leftist working there.
I've been busy.
Did Kyle "Say His Name!" Rittenhouse get convicted of something?

That being said, I would definitely sue. I'm sure his legal team would find plenty of work accounts used for personal emails during discovery.
Employees have very few rights in Virginia. You can be fired for any reason or no reason at all (save for a few exceptions for the special super protected PC classes).
Police unions are virtually powerless in Virginia with no collective bargaining allowed.
Things just keep heating-up, and we just sit here and bitch about it on FR. We are being steamrolled. We need a nationwide effort to go on strike and boycott these corporations funding our demise.
If every police officer quit today, rural America would remain quiet, vigilantes would secure the burbs and the cities would become apocalyptic wastelands. I’m fine with this arrangement.
If he is still represented by the union, then they should have a pretty good case of past precedence and file a grievance.
This becomes a good reason to make sure payments are not made digitally, and ensuring you can still make donations via cash and check.
And there are deplatformed individuals like Laura Loomer and the Proud Boys leaders who lost their bank accounts and can’t use payment processors. In Loomer’s case, she can’t use Paypal or Uber because the black list extends that far.
The men were not black lives matters protesters. They were criminals who seemed aligned with klantifa.
He was attacked by several violent men in a mob it was self-defense
Wasn’t one of the men illegally holding a gun?
Hit them with a lawsuit!
“That can likely be defended, otherwise, suspect he’ll sue.”
Unless the government is footing the bill, it’s nearly impossible for the average person to sue. A lawyer will tell you it’s ten thousand dollars down now and he’ll call you when he wants more. He will burn through the money at anywhere from $350-1500 per hour. The legal business is a business. You the client are like a natural resource to be exploited. The opposing side will keep your lawyer busy answering phone calls and responding to court demands. They will run you out of money. That’s something my lawyer did to win a case for me. But, he charged me virtually most of my winnings. Because lawyers are evil ba$tard$ and you are like a vein of coal or oil to them; to be used, not taken care of.
As for wrongful dismissal, probably not if he violated a policy, which he arguably did. My company fired someone for plugging his USB charger into his company computer. At most that should have been a reprimand or a letter in the file. However, since they wanted to get rid of him and he’d violated a policy, there was nothing he could do about it. As a lawyer told me when something similar happened to me, “If you were black I’d take the case as the government pays the bill and they’d know they were f——ed. They’d settle or we could go on forever. But, you’re not, so $10,000 down and they WILL run you out of money.”
More likely a small Christian site doesn’t have anywhere near the necessary security protocols in place to keep information secure
How crazy. No one is safe from these progressives anymore.
