The police went all around the house tearing everything up... they didn't find who or whatever they were looking for and left with no explanation. They just told my wife to “Have a nice day.” and that they house was very clean. Of course they tracked mud, pitch and fir needles all over our new carpet and left the contents of drawers and shelves heaped on the floor. It was incredible. I never was able to get a credible explanation or any type of apology from anyone. My wife still has a strong and justified fear of the police and government 25 years later.
Did you file a lawsuit against these jackboots?
Was it a valid search or a mistake search. If it was a mistake, did you institute a law suit and get a financial settlement?
