I'd take it a step further and we go back to embracing that fact that we live in this time because it sure beats living during one of the cooling periods.
Look up the Maunder Minimum. A time of very low sun activity (no solar flares) and very cool earth temperatures. Also look into the orbital cycles (Milankovitch cycles) as related to earth temperatures.
Of course it is just crazy talk to imagine that changes in the sun and our orbit might have any effect on temperature. Now cow farts....
