—”control system that will let the tractor do the work while the driver has a nap or surfs the net.”
GPS auto-steering, standard or optional on most large tractors today.
Bug Bud and 500 similar tractors were built in the 1970’s.
I know a farmer out in OK panhandle. He has gps steering on his new tractor. He uses it to grow feed corn . He plants by the section. That’s 640 acres. He still has to turn the tractor at the end of the field. It doesn’t turn its self. The gps just makes straight rows.
Most still plant corn in circles. Easier to irrigate.
AG Leader makes an auto steer unit that clamps to the steering column of any tractor new or old.
