Why are these people celebrating the Republican Party’s ouster of slavery and slave-holding Democrats? I thought most of these “kinds” of people would favor Democrats. I think they gave their wires crossed (by the news media). In 1865, the Republican Party was founded on this principal. Juneteenth is a REPUBLUCAN celebration and holiday.

HISTORY: Not all slaves were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation, nor via Juneteenth. Only the slaves of the REBEL states were freed then. Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation was a wartime effort to split and weaken the South; he did NOT free any slaves in the Northern states. Slaves in the non-rebelling border states had to wait for the 13th Amendment, effective December 18, 1865.

Remember kids, these are the folks who think they deserve reparations. To be fair, perhaps ambulances in Africa were a part of the sacred tribal twerk and these folks were just reacting that way because of some inherent old custom. We Caucasians just don't understand.
