Riddle me this, why did Israel, the country with one of the world’s highest vaccination rates ( mostly with the mRNA vaccines ) experience a surge of cases from the Delta Variant? A huge number coming from those already fully vaccinated?

Surge? Huge number? Scary words. Care to provide actual numbers? How many of this “huge number” are from folks bringing it in from out of the country?

Delta is more infectious, and gets to younger folks more (over half of Israel’s Delta cases are among minors, who they do not vaccinate (except for exceptional co-morbidities). The number vaccinated adults becoming symptomatic with the Delta variant in Israel is on the order of dozens per day.
Even so, They have only a few dozen COVID cases in the Hospital (almost all unvaccinated), and (Knock on wood) nobody dying of it. So it is not really a huge number - thanks to the vaccines.
Yes, cases surged to 518 yesterday compared to 8,500 daily before the vaccinations.
As all the medical professionals have said from the beginning, none of the vaccines are perfect, but some seem to be really, really good at preventing severe disease.
