I make the case that The Knack had a bigger impact, because overnight we went from disco and corporate rock to more basic rock.

Maybe the comment is more of an observation of the lack of talented girl groups today....

IF a group can sell records and get people to concerts a record company will support/advance them. It's basic economics.

OMG! Belinda Carlisle!

I used to be IN LOVE with Belinda Carlisle.

Then she got into drugs, ruined her career and her face.

She was gorgeous! She could sing too.

Back when, I really couldn’t stand the GoGos. I’ll admit though, as I’ve gotten a bit older, some of the tunes really have grown on me.
