A-list actress Scarlett Johansson — who has an estimated net worth of $165 million and topped the Forbes list of highest-paid actresses in 2019 — complained that women are underpaid in Hollywood, and that she is “still fighting that damn fight” to get paid what she is worth.
“As a woman, you have to be [your own ally] all the time, because we are underminded[sic], and underserved, and under-appreciated, and underpaid — you have to be your own ally,” Johansson said in a recent interview with Glamour Magazine.
The Black Widow star went on to say that her mother “instilled that in me from when I was really, really young, because of course she experienced it even more severely than I did, and equal pay is a huge part of that fight.”
“Even when I was a teenager in the industry or a young woman, I should say, my mom would have those conversations, like, ‘Why is she not getting (paid the same)?'” the actress added.
One reason for a pay variation between male and female actors, however, could be explained by male-led films outperforming their female-led counterparts at the box office — a concept that Scarlett Johansson disregarded, and instead, blamed on “sexism.”

“There was always these, like, these little key terms, like, ‘bankability,’ and ‘box office draw,’ and those are all terms that are basically masquerading as sexism,” she told Glamour.

There’s nothing I like more than an overpaid person complaining that they aren’t paid what they are worth.
She and that kooky purple haired, America-hating, lesbian ball kicker are two peas in a pod.
Not every actor has the same following and drawing power.
Their roles also aren’t identical in amount of lines and stunts and other factors.
And generally women leads/women woke focused movies do not tend to draw in male viewers, which means young men and dates arent going to necessarily goto them. Again a factor in the movies drawing power.
People who play pretend are way overpaid.
Very much so.
Look at what woke women did to severely damage the best money earning story franchise of all time.
They told fans to eat their sh1t sandwiches.
Fans stopped going.
The last 3 sequels should have made the most money ever, its clear the fans wanted none of this crap.
SW7 - 2 billion, only because people didnt realize how bad they were going to be.
SW8 - 1.5 billion
SW9 - 1 bilion
Now tell me they deserve equal pay. Single handedly destroyed a histoirc money making franchise with femwoketardness.
She gets paid more than almost every male actor in the world. In the name of equal pay, she should only accept the median pay of ALL male actors IN THE WORLD.

100%. Quick, tell me another movie she’s been in, other than the Avenger series. Most people, unless they have a subscription to People magazine couldn’t come up with an answer. Men might know who she is for another reason, her boobs.
But she also knows that her time on the Big Screen is fading. And for women, those stars fade faster than the men. She’s just trying to make sure she can continue to pad her bank account some more, so she can continue to live the same lifestyle she’s accustomed to living.
Her claim to fame is getting very, very, very, very lucky on one movie franchise, where she rides the coattails of more than one male actor but the most prolific is Robert Downey and his Ironman character. He’s worth $300 million. If it wasn’t for him and the other guys, no one would know her name. And the Avenger movies are fading fast, as well.
Think of all the female actresses that have come before her. Good ones, too, as far as acting goes. I won’t get into their politics.
Most folks couldn’t tell you their names or recognize them if they were on line with them at a coffee shop.
All of you are paid too much.
