What happened was that former Iranian Republican Guard soldiers were hired by a wealthy Iranian family to shoot down an American airliner in retaliation for the shooting down of Iran air flight 655 by the USS Vincennes.
Had they reported the truth, the American public would have demanded the US go to war with Iran, and that stupid lying bitch of a president Bill Clinton was terrified of being put into a position of attacking Iran. He ordered a coverup.
And I am not making this up. I have a contact in a position to know the truth, and this contact specifically said that Bill Clinton ordered a deliberate coverup of this event to prevent a war with Iran.
My contact also said the Iranian government disavowed all involvement in the incident and asserted it was rogue elements that launched the attack.
