It sounds like Dusty Hill was in considerable pain/discomfort. Broken shoulder, broken hip...still bothering him. There’s one possible scenario that hasn’t been mentioned (that I’ve seen). Pain will drive people to do things that they normally wouldn’t.

Yep. I remember when they announced his death though and it was being reported that he died from a heart attack. It wasn’t until months later that the truth came out that he o’d
on prescription meds because of a fractured hip.
