How about a guy who was anti-vaccination, got really ill and wants to tell people to get vaccinated?

I never made any moral judgment of the man. I am making a moral judgment on the story and the continual obsession with repeating it.

Quite a number of these stories have been found to be fraudulent. This is what the desire for power over others always brings about -- the need for fundamental dishonesty in service of subjugating others to your will.

You can't credibly remove the man from the story.
Unfortunately for you this American has freedom of speech. He wanted to tell his story with a message to get vaccinated and he successfully did.
