As I was getting closer to 500 pounds, it started to get harder to do things.

Yes, I suppose things would get a harder at 5oo pounds hanging off of you.

What a tragic story. I don't know anything more than what is posted, but for the love of God wasn't there someone who reached out to this woman with the Good News?
