Back in grade school my twin daughters memorized PI. They were very competitive. One did to 40 something figures, and the other to 50 something. They both got the prize in their class (a slice of pie).

I asked them what the next closest kid had. I think the one class had something in the 20’s, and the other was under 10!

Heh. Reminds me of my college surveying class where we had to calculate our position using the location of the sun. It had to be figured to something like 20 decimals, which was beyond the capability of our calculators at the time. The professor taught us some trick on how to figure it out. I have no idea how now - but perhaps the square root function was involved???
