There was nothing in your initial posting to suggest that you were talking about stillborns. Stillborns are a morally neutral issue, undeserving of discussion here at Free Republic, so I naturally assumed that you were talking about the much more controversial (and in my mind: morally abhorrent) issue of abortion.
Perhaps you could be more explicit / less ambiguous, next time.
You are aware that with miscarriage the time of death of the baby from expulsion is normally measured in days? That high temperature [...]
Yes, I am aware of those things. There is no need to lecture me about them.
Regards,
Normally I would post you can’t get live cell lines from dead tissue but this time I chose a different version because some folks will try to insist that cell lines can be harvested from stillborn babies. So, no, it isn’t unworthy to mention because it references a line of rhetoric used by the allies of the ghouls.
Just be advised that your observation came out of left field for me, since I am myself neither a "ghoul" nor a militant (authoritarian) vaxxer (am rather in the "hesitant" / "skeptical" column).
This seems to be happening (to me) more and more here on Free Republic. I make some innocuous pro-conservative remark, and then get replies from people who seem to think that I'm the enemy, or at least in need of lecturing / talking down to.
In the majority of such cases, I suspect, the person replying was simply airing some general bitterness or resentment or making a general announcement to Freeperdom at large - but since it's in response to my posting, and directed at me, it's as if they were targeting me specifically.
On the other hand, I've noticed that some especially clever FReepers will begin with, "You certainly don't need me to tell you this, but for the benefit of the audience at large, let me point out, e.g., that 2 + 2 = 4."
Regards,
I wasn’t addressing you with the original post but the people the OP could be said to have been about,
And as far as the subsequent post I wasn’t asserting you were pro-choice or anything. I realized that I’d been misunderstood and was clarifying my statement.
Then in this last post I wasn’t saying you were employing said rhetoric … and I’m sorry you took it that way. Actually, you were expressly not using the rhetoric I referenced. My point then was not about you or how you address this topic but about the contention that there’s no need to reference stillborn.
I was proverbially lobbing a shell off in some direction (which was actually the normal state of affairs for much of actual, historical naval gunnery) and you, seeing the splash, proverbially wanted to point out there wasn’t a ship there. Conversation ensued.
Thankfully FR isn’t in semaphore.
As in the days o9f Noah
