Someone did train a team of zebras to pull a carriage on a bet... But I would think as a rule they are too flighty and fighty... Even regular jack asses are tough hombres.

Bison can do the same thing only higher... That is, if they don’t just shove the fence over.

The only person I know to have escaped there was a big black dude. He said he’s never going back. I think he was involved with some “interesting businessmen”...

“You can mate a zebra with a donkey and get a hybrid known as a zonkey. There has to be a joke in there someplace.”
Zonkey. Hm... Perhaps Cheech and Chong rode one.

Zebra printers (as much as I despise printers) stand up to years of 24x7 use where I am.
Lucky guy me is the one who gets the early AM phone call on a weekend to change a 170 type out or put some rollers in a little one.
If I had a nickel for all the labels they’ve kicked out in the past decade and change in service, that would be a fat check.

Now must confess severe curiosity as to the rest of the story . . .

For most species, true domestication is a long, hard slog. Dogs, cats, and horses "get" and like humans in that when reared with or otherwise accustomed to close contact with humans, they draw reliable signals from our facial expressions, tone of voice, and movements. This makes us comprehensible and interesting to to them -- even to the point of craving our attention and approval.
Not so with zebras, monkeys, apes, and most wild animals. Even when hand raised and tame, they retain a wild streak and can become dangerous with little warning. More than that, they do not get simple signals from humans that dogs and horses easily recognize. For zebras as a species, humans are alien beings not to be comprehended or trusted. With a few hundred years of intense selective breeding, that could change, but why bother?

Let’s see... Zebras? Big deal!! In DC, there’s a lot of Jackasses and RINOs.... 🤓
