Yep. I have a symphony of varying frequencies constantly, I have yet to find a solution or any easing of it. 36 years of flying didn’t help...
My brother’s an A&P mechanic ... around a lot of jet engines for years ... CHS (can’t hear s)
Rock and Roll with a headset and Recip engines more than T58’s did it I suppose
Yep. I have a symphony of varying frequencies constantly.
Pretty accurate description. Mine is interesting from the standpoint of being accused at 25 or so of cheating on a hearing test. I was hearing high pitched sounds not a part of the test. Those sounds were not constant and only heard when in a sound proof quiet room designed for hearing tests.
Much later comes the symphony after many years of piloting with one ear of two uncovered by headset for cockpit conversation. When you occupy both seats in a conventional cockpit, you impact both ears.
I did have an experience where it noticeably disappeared recently when I began taking D3, but it didn’t last long. It does not appear to get worse just constant when it is quiet. Outside noise helps to blank it. Wife wonders why I need the radio on constantly.
