He was able to play some kind of Peruvian box drum in 2019.
So what
He’s had a good run.
His first retirement was due to his voice so at least he got that back.
Phil, just don't kill yourself like Keith Emerson
One of the best songs for air drums . People just do the air drums..even those that have never done it before

Phil Collins Against All Odds- Live At Qudos Arena Sydney 22/01/19
“Getting Old Sucks” — Phil Collins
Not too surprised - he was already very frail when he took that stage fall in ‘19. Last straw, IMHO.
But can he dance?
This is like Eric Clapton.
Wonder if Phil took the vaccine?
The guy’s old, so no surprise. He had a good run. Hope he can find something else that makes him happy.
Hire Ringo. He never ages.
Saw him maybe five years ago. His voice was still great. But he looked frail and seemed to be in pain the entire time. A real shame since by all accounts he’s a really nice guy and a real talent. But I guess age catches up to all of us.
He never knew when to end one if his songs and he doesn’t know when to end his career evidently.
His songs just went on and on.
Guitarist Ritchie Blackmore said the same thing not long ago. He's 76. His fingers are swollen. He can't play the guitar as skillfully as he used to.
But Keith Richards (77) can still play a mean guitar.
I liked him on Miami Vice
Peter Gabriel or Phil Collins?
“Remember when Phil Collins drowned that guy?”
Phil the musician knows he is severely disabled at this time.
Phil the pro level performer wants to tour anyway, because he has become used to getting all that immediate love and affection from his audiences. Now he practically requires such regular infusions of applause.
Every top level performer stays that way by having an ego big enough to think they are desperately needed by others.
Paul McCartney is likely to agree.
