The name change is political, not historical. And I’m willing to bet that the name change is a product of a few people’s intent to make some pocket change by reinventing the area. And probably making deals with the politicians involved. California is all pure fantasy for some and pure hell for others. And while some don’t know the difference, other people know how to make the difference running amok.
