While I do not approve of anecdote and counter-anecdote to fight out the COVID wars, I’m pushing back on “I don’t believe a word they say”.

People die from COVID, not as much as they used to, but it remains, unfortunately, common. In the past two months, the ages of people dying from COVID is falling into the 50s and even 40s.

I’ve practiced Infectious Diseases medicine for 41 years. That means I’ve practiced through 40 flu seasons.

This disease is totally different from influenza, it causes an illness which is unique and easily recognizable, and although most people recover, significant permanent disabilities are common after survival.

There I said it.

All these years, and I never knew that you are a medical practitioner.

What is your opinion on 1) the therapeutics and 2) the supplements for Covid?

I have only practiced 35 years and totally agree. Covid is a distinct clinical disease

Is there any other virus where there is no treatment provided until a respirator is needed ? No early treatment and made difficult to get monoclonal antibodies.

Seems like they want people to die.

“and although most people recover, significant permanent disabilities are common after survival.”

‘Long Hauler’ Syndrome? IIRC this syndrome may be more common among those who had mild cases rather than severe.
