It had been another grueling weekend for doctors and staff battling to save COVID patients at Beaumont Hospital in Troy. People gasping for breath, some dying. Patients’ panic mixed with bewilderment and grief.
Dr. Matthew Trunsky had slogged through plenty of these shifts since the pandemic began last year: rushing from room to room, ordering up drug cocktails, reviewing charts, trying to communicate with patients through a mask and face shield over the din of breathing machines, and having to tell families their loved one was about to die.
But a series of troubling interactions this past weekend triggered something powerful inside Trunsky. Maybe it was the long hours. But mostly, he said, it was the unending thicket of misinformation and conspiracy theories he was hearing from patients who had not been vaccinated, many of them critically ill.
... “We took the oath, we take all comers,” he said. “And I think deep down that’s the reason most of us went into medicine — to take care of patients. And it doesn't really matter who they are and what decisions they make.”
Doctors and nurses may ask a patient why they are unvaccinated, he said, but “you don't want to go in with a chip on your shoulder, ready to say, ‘You're stupid.’”

I’m not pro-vaxx or anti-vaxx. I think that adults and parents should make the decision.

Well, if I was a family member and aware of the negligent care MY family was being provided (rather, the righteous, effective care being DENIED)...
...the headlines would read quite differently.
We’re really trolling the obscure websites to find and post from. Looking forward to seeing stories posted about vax deaths or injuries. Maybe even a post about the numerous stories of vax break through incidents, such as is wildly occurring in the most vaxxed nation on the planet.
I get what the doctor is saying. I see his frustration, but everything he said could have been said in private.
This ‘public venting’ is becoming a little too fashionable for many doctors. It seems somewhat indulgent.
Keep it to yourself.
I can’t help but wonder if such doctors take a grim satisfaction at watching an unvaccinated patient edge closer to deaths’ door, as this will validate the doctor’s feeling of being all knowing and above all reproach.
It is all cases cases cases some people are even dying. When it started they told us 2 or 3 million would die in the first 3 months. It took 18 months to get a third of that number. They don’t really say death any more it’s cases. In cases most people survive. The number of cases per day is close to the number of deaths per month which means that roughly 3% of hospitalized patients die.
People should learn to take better care of themselves.

This article came up with a simple search of covid and is about a Facebook post. You know Facebook, with 2.89 billion monthly active users. No one is stopping you from posting a thread.
When will we hear from the doctors in Chicago, LA, NY, Detroit etc. about all the victims of gang violence? How about all the drug and alcohol adicts who come in a couple times per month? The mentally ill who beg for a inpatient bed but are denied because they are not suicidal? The children who are returned to abusive parents because DCFS doesn’t do their job?
There is no virtue in being vaxxed. It's a choice that has limited value against the earliest variants in reduction of severity. For many (39% in Australia), it results in severe disability preventing normal life activities. Some die very quickly. Others await ADE when flu season arrives and most that survive those assaults will suffer cognitive decline with CWD, Alzheimer's or Parkinson's as an end state.

You got me, Doc! If I’m unvaxxed I’ll die. If I get vaxxed and don’t die of side effects I’ll still get Covid (I.e. vaccines are 100% ineffective) but I may not die. Think instead of all your narrative bubble I’ll lock myself in my house for another 18 months and do part to crater Sleepy Joe and his Rat party’s economy. After all, wouldn’t want to get in the way of your building back bestest or whatever it’s called.

That’s right. Those scenarios should be equally ‘frustrating’ for a doctor. Even moreso, because these problems have been going on for decades, not just since last spring in 2020 like COVID. I don’t hear any ‘venting’ about those hot potato topics.
It's probably like a cardiologist who puts in a stent in a patient, in the middle of the night for an emergency.
The cardiologist probably says to him/herself, why didn't that fat bastard lose weight.
