> “Forecasts show that this year’s hole has evolved into a rather larger than usual one,” <

Whoa, Nellie. Forecasts? So what are they really saying here? Is the hole actually larger, or they are just ”predicting” it will be larger?

And larger by how much anyway? Is it twice as large? Only 1% larger?

Oh yeah...we were all supposed to die of cancer in the 70s due to this. Yawn...

The “scientists” should know that the “hole” oscillates in size. As usual, these “scientists” (and Democrats, liberals, and lefties) think everything should remain static now that they are here. It’s a wonder that they do not have panic attacks when the sun goes down each day. They are such morons.

Question: Was there ever a time when there was not a hole in the ozone layer, and if so what was the date?

«i thought it had practically closed a couple years back.»”
Yes, and then the environmentalists said that it proved their theories correct. They said that their policies were the cause of the decrease. They want it both ways.

Gee! All they have to do is to fire up some ozone generators and produce some 03. Wait, 03 is unstable and degenerates into 02 as soon as possible.

But, the unwashed and uneducated don't know chemistry. It hasn't been taught for decades so they are easy to fool and alarm.

While we’re at it, we should bring back DDT. Another highly useful product wasted by these loons.

Excessive hot air from President Retard is depleting the ozone.

If there was no ozone hole we would all be dead. Facts educate yourselves lean about a American who wine the Nobel prize for climatology back in the 60s and what his dissertation said about the ozone layer and how the upper and lower atmosphere breath the through it to cause seasons.

Before you try to lay some BS on me, just answer this question correctly and I will discuss climatology as much as you like.

Q: in the winter the wind blows from the north (or south if you are down under) in all directions. Let me help you. It blows down from the artic to Siberia and Canada and Greenland. Now how can it blow from the artic down in all directions?

A:? Hint: ozone hole

LOL.... I’ve mentioned that one a time or two. In addition, these so-called experts have had a visual of the ozone hole since about 1987 or so. They don’t have a damn clue as to how long it’s been there as well as it’s cyclic patterns throughout Earths history.

As a side note, some of the older O3 generators are getting more difficult to find.

“You can still get Freon in Mexico.”

Good luck getting it across the border. It’d be easier to get an illegal across.

You wouldn’t happen to know his name by chance as I would like to read that one.

Roughy 25 of so years ago, Rush had a caller who said that he worked for NASA or some such agency in the late 50’s and early 60’s. And that they were observing the ozone hole at that time, but all the data was lost or destroyed because it was on paper and, of course, not on computers.

Wasn’t even aware of Rush back then. Was too busy building a life and supporting a family. Showed up to the party late. Didn’t start paying real close attention until the Slick Willie years. Found Rush then. Better late than never I suppose. Sure miss Rush as he told it like it was.

Curious now as to when our first sats went up for global observation or was the 50/60’s ozone hole data all ground/aerial based operations. Most familiar with the colored NASA shot of the 80’s that most people have seen and was used as a propaganda tool to rob US of R-12; the best refrigerant ever invented.

I can root around and find his name (i learned all this pre-internet).

anyway, not only did he postulate that the reduction in ozone at the poles allowed the earth to exchange massive amounts of air between the upper atmosphere and lower (punching a hole through the troposphere), he suggested a way that you could stimulate ozone production through seeding iron in the oceans near each pole.

The oceans near each pole are deficient in plantain, as there is NO runoff from land that contains iron, which is needed for plankton to build cell walls....dumping a lot of iron dust in the oceans (from recycled iron) allows a photo-plankton bloom, which “eats” CO2 and also as a byproduct produces tons of Ozone, which being light, goes up.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_fertilization

The “sky is falling” crowd don’t want a solution to problems, they want control of your life.

Never waste a good crisis is their motto

Interesting.... but the question, in my mind anyway, is this phenomenon part of the “life cycle” of the planet. How much is too much ozone versus not enough? Ozone is created by various other naturally occurring processes on a daily basis. Man, in his infinite wisdom /s, tends to dabble in things that generally end up as a net negative of the whole.

Overall the universe is in balance though it may appear to be chaos. All of creation was engineered by a being of superior intellect, wisdom, power, and love. Man is but an little infant and like infants, can either learn the easy or hard way.

Finding solutions to problems are second nature to me as the bulk of my life has consisted of analyzing/diagnosing and fixing problems. The hardest part is getting people to critically think outside of the box then agreeing on a solution that benefits the whole. Control freaks are weak individuals with delusions of grandeur.
