EEgator is right. Based on what is the BF going to jail? We all believe the BF had something to do with her disappearance, but the state has to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. So far, there is no body or evidence of foul play. They couldn’t even charge him at this point much less convict him.
You’re correct. I’m sure that van has been thoroughly searched for blood traces and everything. If there were traces of bleach or other cleaning chemicals that would be very suspicious.

I don’t think the BF has a lot to worry about here. No one saw anything. No weapon. No body. They had a fight. They separated. He hasn’t seen her. Stick to that, and there’s plenty of reasonable doubt.
He has a stolen vehicle which he took over numerous state lines and hid that vehicle .
His parents assisted in the cover up of the car and stonewalling
They could start with those charges for all of them.
