People die from the flu all the time. For that matter, you can get pneumonia and die from a cold virus (but no one calls it a cold).

You will die of something. Right after 9/11 a couple moved out of NYC because of the danger of another terrorist attack. Shortly there after they where killed when a bridge overpass that was under construction fell on them.

flu deaths are almost all in multiple morbidity patients, usually elderly nursing home residents with less than one year life expectancy (85%), cancer or immunocompromised are next, with little kids with immunity issues completing profile.
